Three Kings Monument

monument

The Three Kings Monument features three bronze statues standing side by side, facing north, in an open square. These figures honor King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Mai, along with his allies, King Ramkhamhaeng of Sukhothai and King Ngam Muang of Phayao. Designed by the artist Kaimook Chuto, the monument was completed in nineteen eighty-three and officially opened by King Bhumibol Adulyadej in nineteen eighty-four.
