historic

The eighteenth-century brickwork at one hundred and nineteen Cheyne Walk holds a tablet sculpted with a painter’s palette and brushes, marking the final home of the landscape artist Joseph Mallord William Turner. Neighbors in Chelsea often knew the eccentric, white-haired man only by his local nicknames, The Admiral or Puggy Booth.
