Versailles Restaurant on Southwest Eighth Street is defined by its sprawling interior of mirrored walls, etched glass, and chandeliers, a decor scheme inspired by the French palace of the same name. Founded by Felipe Valls Senior in nineteen seventy-one, the establishment occupies a full city block in Little Havana. It began as a humble coffee window and sandwich shop before expanding into the three hundred seventy-seat restaurant that exists today.
