Coral Gables - Alhambra Entrance

The Alhambra Entrance is marked by a six-hundred-foot curved coral rock wall, which serves as a gateway into the city of Coral Gables. Designed in the early nineteen twenties, the structure features ornamental trellises and flowering vines that frame the passage along Alhambra Circle. It was conceived by the city’s artistic director, Denman Fink, alongside landscape architect Frank Button, to provide a formal welcome that echoed the Mediterranean architecture of the community within.
