Mardi Gras World

landmark

Mardi Gras World features a long, green-roofed building on the Mississippi riverfront, situated beside the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This facility operates as the working studio for Kern Studios, where artists, sculptors, and welders construct the elaborate floats for the city’s largest Mardi Gras parades. The structure houses thousands of decorative props and parade installations used in annual celebrations, and it functions as the production floor for the business Blaine Kern founded in nineteen forty-seven.
