The Federal Fibre Mills building is a five-story structure of brick and heavy timber, distinguished by its large, rectangular warehouse windows and a central atrium lobby. Originally designed by architects Favrot and Livaudais, the building was constructed in nineteen oh seven to house the National Manufacturing Company, which produced manila and sisal rope for ships docking at the nearby port.
