The National World War II Museum is a seven-acre campus defined by its soaring, interconnected pavilions that house a massive collection of wartime aircraft and artifacts. While it now covers the entire American experience of the conflict, the museum began as the National D-Day Museum in the year two thousand. Its location in New Orleans is not accidental.
