The New Orleans Pharmacy Museum occupies a two-story Creole townhouse constructed between eighteen twenty-two and eighteen twenty-three. You can identify the building by its distinct architecture and the historical apothecary equipment displayed within its glass-fronted cabinets. This site was once the residence and professional workspace of Louis Joseph Dufilho, Junior, who became the first licensed pharmacist in the United States after passing a rigorous examination in eighteen sixteen.
