Faulkner House Books occupies a Creole townhouse at six hundred twenty-four Pirate's Alley, distinguishable by its position just behind the Cabildo and the rear garden of the Saint Louis Cathedral. Built in eighteen thirty-seven, the building is a national literary landmark because the novelist William Faulkner lived on the ground floor for several months in nineteen twenty-five.
