The Continental Club is recognizable by the classic neon sign that glows above its entrance on Main Street. The venue occupies a vintage nineteen-twenties building that formerly housed a drugstore and sandwich counter. When the club opened here in the year two thousand, the project was part of a broader effort to spark a resurgence in this section of Houston, which had seen many of its historic buildings neglected for years.
