Bar Santa Catalina

food drink

Bar Santa Catalina is recognizable by the classic aesthetic of a neighborhood café, featuring a marble bar, terracotta-colored tiles, and distinctive blue and yellow majolica along the lower walls. Located at Ciudadela 1200, this establishment has operated since nineteen sixty-five, when it was founded by Galician immigrants named Lourdes and Edelmiro. Before the bar opened, the corner housed a jewelry shop where a small statue of Saint Catherine stood; the founders kept the name, and the site transitioned from a merchant’s storefront into a traditional gathering spot.
