Hussein Javid’s Home Museum

Hussein Javid’s Home Museum occupies the third floor of a stone building at number eight Istiglaliyyat Street. This was the residence of Huseyn Javid, a pioneer of romanticism in Azerbaijani literature, from nineteen twenty until nineteen thirty-seven. The facade of the building is marked by a memorial plaque dedicated to the poet and playwright who introduced philosophical tragedies and historical dramas to the national stage.
