Agrasen ki Baoli is a rectangular stone stepwell that descends into the earth through one hundred and three steps, separating itself from the surrounding modern skyline with its deep, symmetrical tiers of arched niches. Measuring sixty meters in length and fifteen meters in width, the structure is built of rubble masonry and red sandstone. It is believed to have been renovated during the fourteenth century under the Tughlaq dynasty, though its origins remain a subject of debate among historians.
