Mani Bhavan is a modest two-story mansion on Laburnum Road, recognizable by its simple, white-walled exterior nestled in the Gamdevi area of Mumbai. From nineteen seventeen to nineteen thirty-four, this building served as Mahatma Gandhi’s primary headquarters in the city, belonging to his friend and supporter, Revashankar Jagjeevan Jhaveri. During these seventeen years, it functioned as the nerve center for his political activities, where he orchestrated movements like the Non-Cooperation, Swadeshi, and Satyagraha campaigns.
