Rissei Garden Hulic Kyoto

Rissei Garden Hulic Kyoto is a distinctive complex that frames a green public square with the restored, cream-colored concrete walls of the former Rissei Elementary School. Completed in nineteen twenty-eight, this school building was once the center of local education and remains a fixture of the Bizenjimacho neighborhood. The site itself holds a place in history that predates the schoolhouse, as it was formerly the location of the first electric power company in Kyoto.
