Daishodo Japanese Woodblock Prints

Daishodo is recognizable by its warm beige storefront tucked within the Teramachi shopping arcade. Since nineteen twenty-six, this shop has specialized in ukiyo-e, the traditional Japanese woodblock prints that captured scenes of the floating world between the seventeenth and twentieth centuries. The space is filled with items ranging from postcard-sized pieces to large wall decorations, featuring both original antique prints over a hundred years old and more recent reproductions.
