Plaza Tapatía

Plaza Tapatía is a wide pedestrian corridor stretching seven blocks through the historic center of Guadalajara. Inaugurated on February fifth, nineteen eighty-two, the plaza covers seventy thousand square meters of urban space. It was designed to link the neoclassical Teatro Degollado to the west with the historic Hospicio Cabañas to the east, creating a continuous, car-free spine intended to unify the eastern and western parts of the city.
