Mahkama of Pacha

The Mahkama of Pacha is recognizable by its expansive, whitewashed facade, which remains strikingly quiet against the surrounding activity of the Habous quarter. Built between nineteen forty-one and nineteen fifty-two, this building functioned as the official courthouse, reception hall, and residence for the Pasha of Casablanca. Its design reflects the neo-Moorish style, featuring a dense arrangement of horseshoe arches, intricate zellige tilework, and carved cedar ceilings that define its interior spaces.
