Wilaya de Casablanca-Settat

The Wilaya de Casablanca-Settat is defined by a tall, square clock tower that rises above the surrounding neighborhood, often compared to the towers of Venice. Located at the edge of Place Mohammed V, this administrative headquarters was constructed between nineteen twenty-eight and nineteen thirty-seven by the French architect Marius Boyer. Its exterior facade features austere stone columns and a long balcony with large arched openings, blending French Art Deco sensibilities with traditional Mauro-Andalusi elements like green roof tiles and zellige tile work.
