The house at thirty-six Commandant Provost Street in Casablanca marks the residence of Rabbi Chaim Pinto, known as the Younger, or HaKatan. Born in eighteen fifty-five in the coastal city of Essaouira, he was the grandson of the renowned Rabbi Chaim Pinto the Elder. This building served as his home and a center for his religious life until his passing on October twentieth, nineteen thirty-seven.
