The Cinema Rialto is marked by a fourteen-meter-high dome and an expansive balcony that rise above Mohammed El Qori Street. Completed in nineteen twenty-nine and designed by the French architect Pierre Jabin, the building stands as an Art Deco monument from a time when Casablanca was rapidly expanding its modern identity. It was originally built to seat one thousand three hundred and fifty spectators, with four hundred of those seats located on its characteristic mezzanine level.
