Bab Marrakech

Bab Marrakech is the historic gateway marking the entrance to the Old Medina of Casablanca. While the original fortifications of the city were largely leveled by the earthquake of seventeen fifty-five, this gate survived as a primary landmark. It stands near the Place des Nations Unies, where the winding, narrow alleys of the ancient city meet the expansive, modern boulevards of the metropolis.
