Beneath the vast courtyards of the Hassan II Mosque lie the hammams, two expansive bathing facilities that occupy six thousand square meters of space in the basement levels. These baths are divided into separate areas for men and women, with each side covering three thousand square meters. Access is gained by descending a large staircase framed by green marble columns and friezes intricately decorated with zellij tilework.
