Hotel Excelsior Palace

The Hotel Excelsior Palace stands on the square once known as the Place de France, now the United Nations Square. Its facade is marked by horseshoe and semi-circular windows, with a top floor balcony resting on columns that feature geometric patterns and a roof of green tiles. Designed by the architect Hippolyte Delaporte, the building was constructed between nineteen fourteen and nineteen sixteen on a site that previously held a city slaughterhouse.
