Sanwanchang Tea House is marked by its long-established presence on Guanqian Street, where its signage announces its history as a centennial tea shop. Founded in eighteen fifty-five by a Suzhou local named Sheng Yaoming, the establishment took the name Sanwanchang with the hope that its success would be continuous and prosperous.
