Guanzhong College

Guanzhong Academy is defined by its traditional wooden architecture, featuring vermilion gates and green glazed tiles that stand out against the modern cityscape of the Beilin District. Founded in sixteen oh nine by the scholar Feng Congwu, it served as the highest institution of learning in Shaanxi during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The compound is designed around the principles of Confucian order, with courtyards leading to the central Yunzhi Hall, where lectures were once held for thousands of students.
