The name Qinfengyuan does not appear in historical records or modern guides for Xi'an. It is likely that you are thinking of Shuyuanmen, or Shuyuan Gate, the well-known cultural street in the Beilin District. This street is marked by a traditional archway and is paved with bluestone, stretching over five hundred meters from the Beilin Museum to the west. Its name comes from the Guanzhong Academy, which was the highest educational institution in the region during the Ming and Qing dynasties and once stood on this very site.
