Nobel Square is defined by a crescent of four larger-than-life bronze statues, each set against the backdrop of Table Mountain. Located within the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, this public space opened in December two thousand five to honor the four South Africans who were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize: Albert Luthuli, Desmond Tutu, FW de Klerk, and Nelson Mandela.
