Foreshore Freeway Bridge

The Foreshore Freeway Bridge is a pair of elevated concrete highway spans that terminate abruptly in mid-air, looming over the city center. Originally designed in the late nineteen sixties to alleviate future traffic congestion, construction on the freeway began in the early nineteen seventies. Work stopped suddenly in nineteen seventy-seven, leaving the massive road segments disconnected and suspended above the street.
