Delville Wood Memorial

The Delville Wood Memorial in the Company's Garden is an octagonal stone temple topped by a bronze sculpture of two men clasping hands over a war horse. This structure is a contemporary replica of the national memorial located in Longueval, France, which commemorates the South African Brigade’s role in the Battle of the Somme during the First World War.
