Bo-Kaap Kombuis sits on the slopes of Signal Hill, identified by its sweeping, panoramic views of the Table Mountain skyline and the city below. Known to locals simply as The Kombuis, this restaurant was founded by Yusuf and Nazli Larney, who grew up in the neighborhood and sought to preserve the traditions of Cape Malay cooking. While they originally imagined a small coffee shop for painting and writing, the space grew into a destination for those seeking authentic, daily prepared dishes like denningvleis and koesisters.
