경주 남산신성

historic

Namsan Sinseong is a Silla-era fortress that follows the ridgeline of Namsan Mountain, overlooking the former Silla capital. You can identify the site by its stone wall segments, which stretch for over three kilometers around the mountain’s northern peak, Haemokryeong. Built in five ninety-one during the reign of King Jinpyeong, this defensive perimeter protected the royal center and was significantly expanded later in six seventy-nine under King Munmu.
