The Tamsui Presbyterian Church is easily spotted by its clear-water red brick exterior and a prominent bell tower rising from its right side. This neo-Gothic structure, completed in nineteen thirty-three, serves as the primary gathering place for the Presbyterian community in Tamsui. It stands on the foundations laid by the Canadian missionary George Leslie Mackay, who began his work in the area in eighteen seventy-two.
