Wat Chana Songkhram Ratchaworamahawihan is distinguished by the quiet, expansive grounds that offer a sharp contrast to the nearby bustle of the Khao San Road area. Originally known as Wat Klang Na, or temple in the middle of a rice field, it dates back to the Ayutthaya period. The site gained its current name, which translates to Temple of Victory in War, under the reign of King Rama the First.
