Merdivenli Yokuşu is a sloped street in the Balat neighborhood defined by its steep stone stairs that flank the path on either side. It is known for a row of historical wooden houses featuring pastel-colored facades and bay windows, which were restored as part of a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization project.
