Akmar Pasajı is a narrow, bustling walkway connecting Mühürdar Avenue and Neşet Ömer Street in Kadıköy. It is distinguished by its dense cluster of secondhand bookshops and music stores, which have defined the character of this corridor for decades. The name itself is a portmanteau: "Ak" comes from the Akdik family, who owned the private school that previously occupied the site, and "mar" is taken from the school's name, the Özel Marmara Koleji.
