Confectioner Cafer Erol

Confectioner Cafer Erol is marked by its colorful, jam-packed window displays and large glass jars filled with bright akide candies that catch the eye from the street. This shop is the successor to a tradition that began with the Taşköprülü Müftügiller family, who worked in the confectionary kitchens of the Ottoman Palace. After their original Eminönü shop was lost in a fire following the First World War, the family moved away from Istanbul.
