The Barış Manço House Museum is a nineteenth-century Victorian mansion distinguished by its brick facade, movable keystones, and wrought-iron balconies. It was the private residence of the legendary Turkish musician and television personality Barış Manço, a pioneer of Anatolian rock who famously lived here until his death in January nineteen ninety-nine. The Kadıköy Municipality converted the home into a museum in June two thousand ten, working closely with Manço’s family to preserve his personal world exactly as he left it.
