National Trust - Paul McCartney's Childhood House

landmark

Twenty Forthlin Road is a plain, terraced council house, built in nineteen forty-nine. You can identify it by its modest brick exterior, which looks much like the other homes on this suburban street in the Allerton district of Liverpool. While it appears ordinary, the National Trust preserves this property because it was the childhood home of Paul McCartney, who moved here with his father Jim and brother Mike in nineteen fifty-five.
