You can identify Strawberry Field by the pair of iconic red wrought-iron gates standing on Beaconsfield Road in the Woolton suburb of Liverpool. While these gates are world-famous for their association with the Beatles' song "Strawberry Fields Forever," they originally served as the entrance to a Salvation Army children's home that operated on this site from nineteen thirty-six until two thousand five.
