Glengall Bridge

landmark

Glengall Bridge is a Dutch-style double-leaf bascule bridge that spans the channel between the Inner and Outer docks of the Millwall Docks. Its design is modeled after the Langlois Bridge in Arles, France, a structure famously captured in paintings by Vincent van Gogh. The bridge carries Pepper Street and opened in nineteen ninety, replacing older, more industrial crossings that once connected the communities of Cubitt Town and Millwall.
