Trafalgar Tavern

historic

The Trafalgar Tavern is recognizable by its long, white-stuccoed riverside façade, featuring canopied bow windows and cast-iron balconies that overlook the Thames. Built in eighteen thirty-seven, the building replaced an older establishment called the Old George Tavern. It was designed by the architect Joseph Kay, who secured the site after he had been hired to help the original owner apply for planning permission to enlarge the previous structure.
