St Mary Magdalene Church on Holloway Road is a Georgian building made of yellow brick, identifiable by its square bell tower and the three tiers of small windows along its sides. Built between eighteen twelve and eighteen fourteen by architect William Wickings, it originally functioned as a chapel of ease for the overcrowded parish of St Mary’s Islington.
