Arundel Square Treehouse

park garden

The Arundel Square Treehouse is a set of three wooden platforms built around the trunk of a large London plane tree in the central gardens. Commissioned by Islington Council in twenty-eleven and designed by the collective Monkey Do, the structure serves as a play space for local children. It sits within a residential square that dates back to the mid-nineteenth century, though the gardens were significantly extended and improved following a major development project in twenty-ten.
