Chapel Market is a narrow, bustling street marked by numbered pitches lining the pavement, where stall holders have sold goods for over a century. Originally known as Chapel Street, it began its transition from a residential row into a trading hub during the mid-nineteenth century. By eighteen eighty-one, the street hosted over one hundred and fifty barrows, and it was officially designated as a market in eighteen seventy-nine.
