The Lady Ottoline is a four-story, two-tone brick building on the corner of Northington Street, distinguished by its curved corner and dark wood frontage. Established by seventeen fifty-six and rebuilt in eighteen twenty-six, the structure operated as the Kings Arms pub for nearly two centuries before its rebranding in twenty eleven. The name now honors Lady Ottoline Morrell, an aristocratic hostess who lived nearby on Bedford Square during the early twentieth century and famously welcomed writers and artists like Virginia Woolf and Bertrand Russell into her circle.
