Millennium Bridge

landmark

The Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians, stretching three hundred twenty-five meters across the River Thames. Its design is a slim, shallow span of steel that rests on cables positioned below the walking surface, a choice intended to keep the view of the river and the cityscape open. It connects the South Bank near the Tate Modern to the north bank at the foot of Saint Paul’s Cathedral.
