York House, St James's Palace

York House is a historic wing tucked into the northwest corner of the St James’s Palace complex, overlooking Ambassadors' Court and Cleveland Row. Originally built in seventeen thirty-six to provide a home for Frederick, Prince of Wales, upon his marriage, the structure occupies ground that once supported a suttling-house, or canteen, for the palace guards.
