The California Incline is a slanted, fourteen-hundred-foot roadway that cuts a diagonal path down the face of the steep sandstone bluffs, linking the urban grid of Ocean Avenue to the Pacific Coast Highway below. You can identify it by its concrete balustrades and its position bisecting the verdant stretch of Palisades Park.
