The statue of Saint Monica stands eighteen feet tall in Palisades Park, perched on the bluffs at the very end of Wilshire Boulevard. Carved in a smooth, Art Deco style, the sculpture depicts a woman with her eyes closed and hands crossed over her chest, rising from a heart-shaped patch of grass overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
